Dr Martin Vanlierde

ENT & Rhinoplasty Specialist

Dr Martin Vanlierde matriculated at Christian Brothers College, Cape Town and received his undergraduate degrees in the Arts, Sciences and Medicine at the University of Cape Town. He was awarded the Fellowship in Otolaryngology from the College of Medicine of South Africa before spending a further year in Edinburgh where he obtained the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. The following nine years were spent in private practice in British Columbia, Canada, before returning to South Africa.

Dr Vanlierde commenced private practice in Cape Town in 2001. He has held a part-time teaching position in the department of Otolaryngology at the University of Cape Town since that time, and has taught Rhinoplasty and heads the Voice Clinic of the department. His two areas of particular interest are Nasal and Voice problems; he is a founding member of the Rhinoplasty Society of South Africa , and he finds his practice focusing more and more on Rhinoplasty, nasal and sinus surgery, and voice problems.
