Orthopaedic surgeons treat a number of conditions that affect the bones, joints, muscles, ligaments, tendons, and nerves. These conditions include the following: arthritis, bone tumours, cerebral palsy, dislocations, fractures, sprains, and strains, Muscle, ligament, and tendon damage, spine disorders (e.g., sciatica, ruptured disc). Some Orthopaedic surgeons subspecialise in specific joints. Surgery performed ranges from Arthroscopy to joint replacement.
